Boats to the sea caves and coves of Corfu's most dramatic bay — self-drive or skippered, from the beach that guards them.
Paleokastritsa is Corfu's most theatrical coast: a scatter of green headlands and deep clear coves on the island's west side, with sea caves that only open up from the water. It is the classic Corfu boat outing — half the point of the place is unreachable on foot.
From the main beach you can take a small self-drive boat around the nearest coves and cave mouths, or a skippered trip for the further caves and the clear-water anchorages where the swimming is best. We arrange either, and add Paleokastritsa to a wider corridor plan that can include the Corfu Town crossing to Albania.
The water here is at its calmest and clearest in the morning; by afternoon the day-boats and the breeze arrive. Go early, take a skipper who knows which cave takes the light when, and it is one of the Ionian's best half-days on the water.
