It is the natural way to end a Riviera stay with a Venetian evening, or to catch a flight out of Corfu airport the morning after.
The mechanics mirror the outbound leg. It is passport-controlled in both directions, so build in 30–45 minutes at Saranda port for the border. Booking ahead matters most for the popular late-morning and early-afternoon boats, and for the day before a Corfu flight — those seats go first.

Timing it to a Corfu flight
If you fly out of Corfu (CFU), do not take the last possible ferry. Cross the afternoon or evening before, sleep in Corfu Town, and reach the airport in fifteen minutes the next morning — the strait's weather and the border queue are the two variables you do not want between you and a flight.
When an early flight makes an overnight in Corfu impractical, a private morning boat with a guaranteed departure is the safe play. We build the buffer in and hold a car or transfer at the Corfu quay.
