The Riviera's charter harbour — gulets, motor yachts and RIBs out of the marina, to the islets, Butrint and the coves with no road.
Saranda is where the Albanian coast is best boarded. Its marina is the Riviera's charter harbour — gulets for multi-day cruises, motor yachts and RIBs for day runs — and the launch point for the water most travellers never reach: Kakome and Krorëza to the north, beaches with no road, and the Ksamil islets and Butrint channel to the south.
We arrange the boat to the day. A skippered RIB for a fast morning at the islets; a motor yacht for a full day of coves and lunch at anchor; a gulet for a multi-day cruise toward Corfu and Paxos. In peak season the good skippered boats book several days ahead — the earlier we know, the better the boat.
Saranda's other advantage is that it is the corridor's hinge: the same marina that sends you to the coves also sends the private crossing to Corfu. Pair a boat day with a villa above the bay and the whole trip runs from one harbour.
