A 20-metre flybridge motor yacht at Gouvia
The Fairline Squadron 65 is a British flybridge motor yacht of about twenty metres, crewed and berthed at Gouvia, that pairs a fast cruise with a proper overnight. From the flybridge the whole north-east coast opens up: a quick run to Avlaki and Kalami, a lunch stop tucked under the cypress at Kouloura, and back to Gouvia before the maestro fills in — or on for a night at anchor if guests want to stay out. Her turn of speed makes the ~28–30 nm south to Paxos an easy morning rather than a slog, and the strait crossing to Saranda and the Ksamil islets sits well within her range.
A flybridge for sun and helming, a shaded cockpit and saloon below, and cabins set up for overnighting make her equally good as a day boat and a short-cruise boat.
The crew handles the boat, the tender and the catering from Gouvia, so the day is hosted end to end.
Mornings run north up the sheltered north-east coast — Avlaki's firm-holding sand, Kalami's wide bay, Agni's tavernas with a stern-line to the pier — with the return timed for the afternoon calm.
Her speed also makes a Paxos day feasible: south to Gaios or Lakka, a swim off Antipaxos at Voutoumi, and home before dark.
A crossing to Saranda is straightforward given her pace — the strait is only ~12–15 nm — putting Kakome Bay and the Ksamil shallows within a day-trip, or an overnight if guests want to wake on the Albanian side under Ali Pasha country.
